A mixture of storeyed elements comprise this commercial development. The design was influenced by the adjacent building styles and site context in order to build upon the existing character of the immediate area. The building has an outdoor strip mall feel with a franchise restaurant integrated into its design.
Due to the location of the project, we needed to follow specific design guidelines while also meeting the client's need to achieve as much lease space as possible. Several designs were done to explore second floor accommodation and even a possible parkade below grade. This also required detailed talks with the development officers. Once we had established a trusted relationship and were able to explore several options, we were able to implement solutions that ultimately benefited the whole community and our client.
