BLOOD TRIBE PUBLIC 
WORKS FACILITY

The Blood Tribe Public Works Department required design and construction of new a 16,000 SF (1,486sm) office and shop facility. The building construction included a two-storey wood-framed office with reception area, offices, boardroom, meeting room / lounge, open work spaces, and a staff kitchen area. Programming required a shop space which provided 10-bay pre-engineered, steel-framed shop including two additional drive through wash bays, a staff room, supply & welding rooms, and a steel constructed mezzanine which contains shop offices, an exercise room, staff washrooms and change rooms. Two bays were outlined to receive an overhead crane system as well as wash bay equipment that had been coordinated with the client and design consultants. 3D images were utilized to convey the exterior finish selections to the building including brick veneer with pre-cast concrete cap, metal wall cladding, aluminum panels, and a metal standing seam roof. The exterior doors are aluminum curtain walls and insulated flush metal slabs, while the windows are aluminum and aluminum-clad PVC.
