Work is complete on a new 3,000sf, three-storey mixed-use daycare facility with three residential units above, on the northside of Lethbridge, AB. The facility programming will support 48 children of various age groups and seven staff members in five large classrooms on the basement and main floor levels. A small reception area, which can access each classroom, will receive staff and students. Each classroom has dedicated washrooms, natural lighting, and access to the play areas in the front and rear yards. The second floor has three efficient 700sf+ one-bedroom residential units for use by daycare workers within the facility. Each unit includes a small office & exterior balcony. The exterior design aligns with a contemporary modern design with clean lines and finishes with mono-slope roof elements to accent the residential exterior balconies along the east and west building elevations. The main exterior finishes include stone veneer, fibre-cement siding, and panel system as well as PVC windows.
