The renovation of the old Bargain Store building added new life to this area of downtown Lethbridge that is busy during the day and quiet in the evenings. 

On the main floor, we introduced greater street access and created commercial and retail spaces, suitable for smaller businesses to gain a downtown presence. In the basement, we created public washrooms and private commercial and residential storage areas. 

Second floor residential apartments feature open concept kitchen and living spaces, and modern industrial, rustic and chic furnishings.

Key features for gaining interest and investment are the building's strategic location and the provision of:

  • New main floor storefronts to the blank west building face

  • A variety of unit sizes with support facilities in the basement (washrooms, storage, gym)

  • Elevator access

  • Rooftop patio for the residential units

  • Increased natural surveillance to the streets from the second floor
