The mission of the client, Lethbridge Housing Authority, is to provide safe, secure, and affordable housing for people in need in the Lethbridge region. IMA worked with LHA to build a supportive housing facility in Lethbridge specifically for their clients from the Wellness Shelter who are ready to begin transitioning into permanent housing. The Supportive Housing project is a three-storey apartment building with 30 studio suites. A transformative new housing development is set to redefine supportive living in Lethbridge. Designed with innovation and inclusivity in mind, this modern facility combines medical services, residential accommodations, and vibrant community spaces to create a holistic living environment.

The main floor is the heart of the facility, seamlessly integrating medical services with community care. A leasable spacious clinic and pharmacy span over 1,600 square feet, providing accessible healthcare to residents and the local community. The supportive housing area, encompassing nearly 9,000 square feet, is thoughtfully designed with welcoming lounges & spacious Lobby, functional dining areas, and a well-designed indigenous reflection space to foster connection and well-being. With a commercial kitchen, laundry facilities, and ample storage, the main floor ensures both functionality and comfort. Accessibility is prioritized with barrier-free washrooms, showers, and wide corridors, while an elevator and multiple stairwells facilitate effortless movement throughout the building.

Ascending to the second floor, residents will find a haven of thoughtfully crafted living spaces. Featuring a mix of barrier-free and standard units, the 18 residences offer a variety of layouts complete with kitchenettes and private bathrooms. Shared laundry facilities and central corridors enhance convenience, creating a warm, connected community atmosphere. The third floor takes the residential experience to new heights with 12 additional Suites and exclusive access to a stunning roof recreational deck. This outdoor retreat invites residents to relax and recharge amidst greenery, all while enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding area. With its reduced floor area, this level reflects the building’s contemporary, stepped-back architectural design.
