The private acquisition of this 1913 historic landmark of downtown Lethbridge allowed this previously Government-owned building to receive new life both inside and out.
A joint collaboration between Ian Moxon Architect Inc. and SONGER architecture inc., where involved in a full remodelling and modernization of this iconic building.
The majority of the interior layout has been renovated and rejuvenated to welcome businesses into the downtown core. The entrance additions in the northeast have warm bronze glazing, and the southwest corners received new finishes that offer a more inviting feel leading people into the new business centre.
Exterior site elements are placed to promote gathering outside while providing a unique access to the building. The new drawings created for the project started from the original hand drafted plans and were turned into a 3D model for rendering.
